My Cat Is Limping But Still Jumping And Running Reddit

My cat sprained her leg a few years ago and the vet explained that it can sometimes be easier for cats to hide a limp and use mainly only three legs when running or jumping. Walking slowly was the only time when she was trying to put much weight on the injured leg and so it showed up as a limp.

There’s a whole thread on it somewhere on Reddit. Some guy spent $600 on X-rays just for the vet to tell him his cats faking it. But having said that I think it’s still good to get checked out just in case.

Our cat came home limping (front left paw) we left it a day to see if he got better but his paw became swollen (hard to spot on a long haired cat) so we took him to the vet. Turns out he had been bitten between the pads and it was infected. He was is a lot of pain and we didn’t realise. The vet cleaned it all up and removed the pus.
